CHANEL: The Little Black Jacket

Once again in the fashion world we had a prominent exhibition of beautiful art, well Chanel’s reign in art. Last night (June 6th) the exhibition was held in NYC (New York City home to fashion) at the Swiss Institute. Celebrating the beauty of the many interpretations of the Chanel little black jacket. This lavish affair contained photos from Karl Lagerfeld’s photo book; ‘The little black Jacket: Chanel’s Classic Revisited’. This event will launch the one week extravagant exhibition, excited to see what else is in store. The book is also co written with Carine Roitfield (the former Paris Vogue editor-in-chief), and is fully endorsed with so many celebrities putting their twist on the iconic Chanel black jacket.

Let’s look at the fashionistas that attended the event:

Dree Hemingway

Trend Alert (AS WHITE AS SNOW) she looked divine in this all white number and she kept her accessories minimalistic which assists in executing this look. Her look was more of the flirty whites giving that feminine twist to it. Also love how she rounded of the look with her pastel coloured heels, giving that hint of colour and warmth.

Achieve this look:

Karolina Kurkova

She also elegantly portrayed the all white trend, but this time with a more tailored look. We love how this look is figure hugging with the cuts in the blazer and the high waisted pencil skirt, it allows your body to show its feminine touches … GORGEOUS!

Achieve this look:

Joan Smalls

Looked exceptional in this beaded floor length gown, with the sheer overlay adds for the sultry factor. We adored the simplicity factor with accessories with the black clutch making this look CHIC!

Achieve this look:

Jessica Hart

This look is achievable for everybody that’s why we very much like her look. The monochrome look steps up the laid back style. We love how she paired her leather black trousers with a black shirt. The shirt neck accessories is simply divine, simple with a bit of bling. The white blazer on top just makes this look so CHIC! She also played on colour with her accessories, the Olympia Le Tan clutch and her gorgeous heels, making the look refreshing.

Achieve this look:

Zoe Kravitz

Also rocked the monochrome look and the Wet look trend! Zoe’s look was simply divine, with her black leather strapless top with a ivory pencil skirt finished off with a simple black peep toe heels. Perfection to a tee!

Achieve this look:

Linda Evangelista

Also incorporating the black and white look head to toe. Her trousers are very daring for the confident and brave, but otherwise the colour composition was delightful, with the fitted black jacket and the white shirt, finished off with the black and white shoes.

Achieve this look:

Lily Collins

With the draped skirt and high neck shirt she made this look worth the mention, that combination was so different but very unique. Executed very well, such a consistent look in the all white trend.

Achieve this look:

Definitely a place where all fashionistas should be, PURE BLISS. Hope you enjoyed the blog.

As always stay loyal our beautifuls xxxx mwah.
